Sometimes, there are those things of the past that we see that instantly pull on our heart strings. The special instances in life that make us remember someone who was special and make us “feel” the sounds of those moments of laughter we are no longer able to hear…We are lucky in the fact that our hearts are filled with enough love to carry the memories along so we can still “feel” those sounds of yesterday.

Macro photography has always been an amazing glimpse of the tiny world we miss on a day to day basis. Only when we crouch to our knees and get up as close as we can are we able to capture the glory of the world’s most tiniest creatures. A small magic world full of wonderful detail and sometimes a little scary, or sometimes the most beautiful of magic wonder that amazes us all. The aura of macro photography is displayed in the “Contemplation of a Pistil” in the detail of the grasshopper challenging the pistil of a beautiful lavender flower. The grasshopper looks as though he is trying to decide whether to attack or to stay put. Is this an enemy or dessert? Either way the moment is caught and his contemplation intriguing…

It’s not very often I have the luck to witness a rainbow bridge so imagine my delight at seeing a double rainbow bridge!

It may sound corny, but I couldn’t stop hearing Judy Garland singing ‘somewhere over the rainbow’ as I photographed this amazing atmospheric weather condition. Unfortunately that was followed by the strands of Kermit the frog singing ‘rainbow connection’!

Most everyone knows that rainbows appear when raindrops reflect sunlight and break white sunlight into colors.

According to my science source, as light enters a water droplet, the different wavelength colors bend at slightly separate angles. Some of this light reflects off the back of the droplet and is bent a second time as the droplet emerges from the light beam. Drops at different angles send distinctively different colors to the eye.
